The We Are Little Feminists board book series was created to help families & educators discuss diversity through everyday topics. We Are Little Feminists helps children stand against racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. Families, Hair, and On the Go were published as a three-book series featuring photos of real kids and families (representing LGBTQ families, kids with disabilities, many cultures and races), while poetic text builds vocabulary and empathy.
The most recent books in the series are Celebrations and How We Eat. Celebrations helps families and educators discuss belief systems, ceremonies, and holidays to spread love and understanding for all faiths. How We Eat helps families and educators discuss ability, culture, and food at home and in the classroom. [Descriptions were taken from the Little Feminist website.]
